Overview
Securin is excited to announce the latest scoring methodology to simplify managing vulnerabilities: Risk Index. Risk Index will replace Definitive VRS and Predictive VRS within the VI platform. This change will impact users in the following ways.
Free Subscriptions
- All existing and New Free Subscriptions to Securin VI will get Risk Index ONLY.
POC
- All existing and New POC Users of Securin VI will get Risk Index ONLY
Paid Subscriptions
- All existing Paid Customers of Securin VI get BOTH Risk Index and VRS.
- All New Paid Customers of Securin VI get the Risk Index ONLY.
- All existing Paid Customers of other Securin Products like EASM with Full VI Access get Risk Index ONLY.
As users become more comfortable using the Risk Index score, Securin will soon deprecate VRS scores.
The following changes have been made to the platform to accommodate the Risk Index scoring.
APIs
- Comprehensive API returns Risk Index by default. VRS only when provisioned to the user.
- Weakness API returns Risk Index.
UI
- Defaults to Risk Index. VRS is only provided to the user.
- All Dashboard Widgets will be based on the Risk Index.
- List Views and Detailed Views will display Risk Index by default. VRS is displayed only when provisioned to the user.
- Note that saved filters using VRS Scores - Definitive and Predictive VRS, must be updated to use the Risk Index, as Securin will not modify these filters.
Sidekick
- One column label has changed from "Predictive Maxed Out Date" to "Securin Warned Date."
- Risk Index by default. RBAC-based display of VRS, i.e., only when provisioned for a user based on special requests.
