Integrations

Integrations

The Integrations tab offers a powerful feature that allows you to integrate the Securin platform with data from other scanners, as well as connect to ticketing systems and cloud services. This integration enables you to view all data, combined with Securin-generated details, on a single screen. With this unified approach, you no longer need to search through multiple sources to discover, analyze, prioritize, and mitigate exposures across all your assets efficiently.

Platform Integrations

Securin provides different types of platform integrations, each with its unique benefits:

Ticketing Systems

JIRA integration streamlines the process of handling exposures discovered within the software cycle. With this integration, you can create tickets that are assigned to security specialists who can efficiently address the identified issues. The screen below shows the JIRA ticketing tool integrated with Securin.

Securin Integration with Jira

By clicking on the JIRA connector, you can access a screen displaying all configured connectors. The details for each connector include its name, associated project, the email address of the person who raised the ticket, and the date of configuration. Possible actions, such as refreshing, editing, or deleting the connector, are also available.

Configuring JIRA Connectors—1

To add a new connector, simply click the "Add" icon at the top right corner and provide the necessary details, including the API key from your Atlassian account. After entering all the required information, click "Validate" to complete the setup. Existing configurations can be edited by providing the API key and updating the details.

    Create New Configuration

If you do not have an API key, you can create a new one using your Atlassian account. After entering all the required information, click "Validate" to complete the setup.

Here is an example of the Configuration Edit screen. In this "Edit Jira Configuration" pop-up, you have the option to edit the existing JIRA configuration or add new details. You can provide the required API key, make necessary edits to the configuration details, and then click on the "Update" button to save any changes made to the existing JIRA configuration.

Configuring JIRA Connectors—1

When you log in to the Securin platform for the first time, there are no pre-populated connectors in the scanner for JIRA integration. However, you will directly encounter the "Edit Jira Configuration" pop-up when you click on the JIRA connector box from the Ticketing integrations window.

While creating a ticket, the description template will contain the entire summary of an exposure including its description and recommendations.

AWS Integration

The AWS Integration section in the Securin platform displays the cloud service providers that are currently integrated with the current workspace. In this instance, the AWS connection has already been established. To explore the details of this integration further, you can click on the "Add" icon.

Securin-AWS Integration

Clicking the "Add" icon will allow you to access and configure the AWS integration in more detail. Within the "Configure AWS" page, you can set up and customize the specific services you want to integrate with Securin.

AWS Integration Configuration—1

To configure any service:

  1. Enter your profile details, including access and secret keys.
  2. Select the service and choose the region in which you would like the service to operate.
  3. Save Profile.

Once you save the profile and complete the setup process, the newly integrated service(s) will appear on the page, allowing you to effectively monitor and analyze the security aspects of your cloud assets through the Securin platform.

This AWS integration empowers you to gain valuable insights and proactively address any potential vulnerabilities or risks within your AWS infrastructure.

AWS - Monitored and Unmonitored Classification

  1. New Asset Management attribute is introduced as part of this feature. This attribute can have the  following values:
    1. Monitored
    2. Unmonitored
  2. The attribute values also has the timestamp association, signifying when the value was first assigned to or changed.
  3. Every asset discovered by Securin ASM (Source: Securin) is attributed as an Unmonitored asset(by default).
  4. Every asset discovered from an authenticated source like AWS connector (Source: AWS Cloud) is a Monitored asset.
  5. Every asset that is common from ASM scan and AWS connector in terms of IP address or hostname is also a Monitored asset.
  6. The status of the asset is in the detailed view of the asset under the details section and “Monitoring Status” field, as shown below:

  1. Additionally, another filter Asset Management can be used to configure the list view of an asset in the Monitored or Unmonitored state.

Scanners

The Securin platform supports integration with multiple scanners, including  Qualys VM, Nessus, Tenable, Rapid7 InsightVM, and Rapid7 NexposeIntegrating these scanners allows you to consolidate findings from different sources and view specific recommendations from each scanner. Securin's threat analysis takes into account both the threat context and the organizational asset context, providing a comprehensive overview of your security landscape.

The below screen shows that we have integrated four different scanner inputs here.
