Setting up Webhooks for Securin ASM Alerts in Chat Applications


The Securin ASM platform now offers a notification feature that enables users to receive alerts and updates directly in their preferred chat applications. To utilize this feature, users need to generate webhooks from their chat application of choice (Slack, Google Chat, or Microsoft Teams). This step-by-step guide will walk you through the process of creating webhooks in each of these chat applications.


Note: The following instructions assume that you have access to the respective chat applications and the necessary permissions to create integrations.


By generating webhooks and adding them to the Securin ASM platform, users will be able to receive notifications for the following rules:

  • Summary of Assets in the Latest Scan

  • Summary of Exposures in the Latest Scan

  • Discovery of Data Leaks

  • Discovery of Exploitable Exposures

  • Discovery of Unverified Assets


Setting up Webhooks in Google Chat for Securin ASM Alerts

  1. Open your web browser and navigate to Google Chat.

  2. Choose the desired chat channel where you want to receive Securin ASM alerts.

  3. Locate the down arrow icon next to the channel title and click on it.

  4. Select "Apps & integrations" from the dropdown menu.

  1. In the "Apps & integrations" section, find and click on "Manage webhooks."

  1. If there are existing webhooks in the space, click on "Add another." Otherwise, proceed to the next step

  1. Enter "Securin ASM Alerts" as the name for this webhook in the "Name" field.

  1. Click on the "Save" button to save your webhook settings.

  2. To copy the full webhook URL, locate the "content_copy" icon and click on it.

  1. Close the "Incoming webhooks" dialog box by clicking outside the box or pressing the close button.

  2. You now have the webhook URL copied, which you can use to receive Securin ASM alerts in the selected Google Chat channel.


By following the above instructions, you can successfully create and configure webhooks in Google Chat. These webhooks will enable you to receive Securin ASM alerts directly in your designated channels, keeping you informed about the latest scan results, exposures, data leaks, exploitable exposures, and unverified assets.


Creating Webhooks in Slack for Securin ASM Alerts

  1. Launch Slack using either the desktop application or the web application.

  2. Access or create the workspace where you wish to receive Securin ASM alerts.

  3. Locate the Slack menu and navigate to "Integrations." Then, click on "Add an App."

  1. Inside the "Slack App Directory," use the search bar to find "Incoming WebHooks" and select it.

  1. Click on "Add to Slack" to initiate the integration process.

  2. Scroll down until you reach the "Post to channel" prompt, and click on the options bar labeled "Choose a channel." Select the specific channel where you want the Securin ASM alerts to be posted.

  1. Click on "Add Incoming Webhooks Integration."

  1. On the new page that appears, you will find the Webhook URL required for integration.

  1. Copy the webhook URL for later use.


By following the above instructions, you can successfully create and configure webhooks in Slack. These webhooks will enable you to receive Securin ASM alerts directly in your designated channels, keeping you informed about the latest scan results, exposures, data leaks, exploitable exposures, and unverified assets.


Setting up Webhooks in Microsoft Teams for Securin ASM Alerts

  1. Launch Microsoft Teams using either the desktop application or web application.

  2. Access or create the channel where you wish to receive Securin ASM alerts.

  3. Click on the Add icon (+) situated adjacent to the Channel Name

  1. From the pop-up menu select "Get more apps" and search for "Incoming Webhook."

  1. In the app catalog, search for "Incoming Webhook" and click on "Add to Team."

  1. Select the team or channel you want to associate the webhook with and click on "Set up a connector."

  1. Provide a name for your webhook and, if desired, upload an image to represent it.

  2. Click on "Create."

  1. In the text box, copy and save the unique webhook URL provided. This URL is crucial for integrating the webhook.

  2. After copying the webhook URL, select "Done" to complete the setup.


By following the above instructions, you can successfully create and configure webhooks Microsoft Teams. These webhooks will enable you to receive Securin ASM alerts directly in your designated channels, keeping you informed about the latest scan results, exposures, data leaks, exploitable exposures, and unverified assets.

To unsubscribe from  Securin ASM alerts, follow these steps to disable the Notification Delivery Channel:


  1. Log in to the ASM platform and navigate to the workspace you want to stop getting alerts from

  2. Go to the Notifications Settings page by clicking on the gear icon in the In-App notifications pane .

  3. Navigate to the Notification Channels tab 

  4. Choose the option to disable or turn off the Notifications In the App present in the Notifications Channels page.

By completing these steps, you will no longer receive alerts from Securin ASM through the specified Notification Delivery Channel.
